Current Openings

RN Consultant/ Specialist 
Applications are being accepted for full-time RN Consultant/ Specialist in the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) at GECAC.  Qualified applicants will provide nursing consultation, case management and assessment for Aging division consumers for all AAA programs as requested by supervisors or appropriate staff.  Performs medical review of cases and services. Duties may include: assisting consumers through person centered counseling to help make informed health care choices, working with an interdisciplinary team to identify appropriate services and supports, and visitation or phone contact with consumers to identify needs and fill service gaps through a variety of programs.  Must have good communication & outreach skills and have knowledge of community resources.  Also must have the ability to document & maintain client records and complete monthly reports in line with established procedures.

REQUIRED: Completion of a two or four year Nursing School Program and valid Pennsylvania RN license.  Knowledge of common illnesses and disabilities, their obvious symptoms and the appropriate medical terminology.  Able to apply appropriate nursing techniques, to prepare consumer reports and maintain records.  Able to work independently and make sound nursing judgment in an in-home setting.  Knowledge of 3rd party payments.  Proficient in the use of the computer and have computer software skills including Microsoft Office software.  Must be able to travel.  Must have a valid PA driver’s license with full-time access to private automobile & auto insurance as required by the Agency. Must meet Immigration Law requirements. Must provide Act 33 & 34 and FBI Clearances issued within the past 5 years.  Salary range $33,959 - $45,279 per year depending on experience and includes excellent benefit package.
